Flax Seed Crackers

by Hugh
(Fairfax, CA)

This is a simple recipe that can be tweaked to meet your taste preferences.

Soak 2 cups flax seed in 2½ cups water for 6 to 8 hours, overnight is fine.

Mix in blender with 1 cup of dulse or dulse flakes, and 1½ cups of fresh parsley or other herb until well incorporated. Add more water as needed to blend.

Wet your hands or the back of a spoon or small spatula to spread mixture on 2 teflex sheets and place on the racks of your dehydrator setting it at 105 degrees.

After 3 to 4 hours you should be able to turn the crackers over onto a tray and discard the teflex sheet. Dry for another 6 to 8 hours or until dry.

These crackers go well with avocado dip, raw humus, savory green soup, raw wraps, etc. Enjoy!

Optional ingredients:

fresh ginger root

cayenne pepper

cumin

curry

carrots

celery

rosemary

soaked sunflower seeds
