Orange Date Romaine Smoothie
Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Feel free to adjust the quantities of the ingredients to suit your taste and calorie needs. Celery is also a nice addition. Enjoy!
Oranges (4 large or 5 medium)
Dates (6 large or 12 small)
Romaine (1 head)
Nutrient analysis from using 800 g of navel oranges, 100 g of dates, and 325 g of romaine:
13 g protein
186 g carb
2.3 g fat
31 g fiber
Over 100% of the RDA for folate, vitamin A (as beta carotene), vitamin C and vitamin K.
Over half of the RDA for B1, B2, B5 and B6, calcium, copper, manganese, magnesium and potassium.
Over a quarter of the RDA for B3, iron, phosphorus and zinc.
