Hidden Vegetables

by Angela

This juice has:

Vitamin A (beta-carotene), Vitamin Bs, and Vitamin C

1 naval orange (peeled)

1 red delicious apple (I don't peel the apple, but I do cut it into fours and take out the seeds)

1" slice of lime (peeled)

2 medium sized carrots (or 1 really big one or ~8 baby carrots)

4 celery stalks

I have a Breville Juice Fountain Plus. It doesn't do so well with greens or citrus rinds, so this recipe is perfect for probably any juicer. It's sweet- almost to the level of those store-bought fruit and vegetable juices that are only supposed to taste like fruit, so this one will be good for beginners and those who struggle with or would like a break from the taste of pure vegetable juice.

If you want it sweeter, use a sweeter variety of apple (gala, for example). If you want it less sweet, add more carrots and consider using only half of an orange.
