Blueberry Banana Shake

This Blueberry Banana Shake is a wonderfully creamy smoothie with great taste and texture. It’s loaded with nutritional power and will carry you for hours.


6 oz. of blueberries

6 to 8 bananas

1 large cucumber

½ head of romaine lettuce

1 teaspoon chia seed

½" chunk of fresh ginger root

¼ to ½ cup of water as needed


cayenne pepper to taste (optional)

1 tablespoon or more of your favorite super green powder (optional)

1 basket of fresh figs (optional)

I added a basket of fresh figs, which makes this recipe even more creamy and able to carry you longer, but if they are not available this recipe is still wonderful without them. I also have a very large jug on my Blendtec, which can hold about a half gallon.
