What About Salt Intake and Iodine?

by Cheryl
(North Palm Beach FL)

Q I am eating very raw now and use Himalayan salt sometimes. Am I getting enough iodine in my diet?

A If you are concerned you can eat sea vegetables, which have ample amounts of iodine. I eat some form of sea vegetable, usually nori seaweed 3 or more times per week for the minerals like iodine.

These days one has to be sure to purchase sea vegetables from companies that test for chemicals and radiation so check before you buy.
