Is coconut oil raw?


Q Is coconut oil raw? I would like to make raw salad dressing for my salads.

A Some are raw and some are not, and even some of the ones that espouse to be are not truly raw. This is one you really have to do your homework on and contact the manufacturer to get specifics if need be. This Live Superfoods Raw Virgin Coconut Oil looks pretty good and appears to be a viable raw coconut oil.

The Raw Food World also carries at least one that is raw.

There are lots of products out there that say raw, but are not really raw, like crackers, cookies, oils, and even dried fruit. You have to really read the labels and contact the manufacturer if need be.
